On-going project - Cheekys Sandwiches
Cheekys Sandwiches is a no-frill hidden gem within the Lower East Side in New York City. The main cuisine is influenced by Southern New Orleans sandwiches. This project takes on much of the inspiration from the Clients' creole background, taking Parisian Art Nouveau - styled designs and inspiration from the film "The Devil's Advocate."
2017 - Ichiba Ramen
Located right next to Union Square in New York, Ichiba Ramen was a bustling ramen spot right before Covid - 19 hit several local restaurants within that neighborhood. The food left you with a full ramen tummy, catered by passionate chefs that worked overnight shifts to maintain the perfect broth.
I witnessed this as I worked overnight to complete this mural, alongside two other artists (left and right comps). As we brainstormed pop-cultural references and to the restaurants' beginnings - first opened in the Korean neighborhood within Tokyo, Japan. I had the chance to portray its fusion of both Korean and Japanese cuisine under the same house, thus representing two chefs pouring huge bowls of ramen as customers slurped their own.
